Dan Smaida

Since 1997, I’ve owned my own consulting practice, Boatman Learning Inc. I’ve spent the last 21 years working with, and learning from, some of the world’s best sales forces on how to win complex, long-cycle sales.

Besides publishing “Love and Selling” (2016), I’ve written hundreds of articles, papers, and posts for my clients’ proprietary use. My custom-tailored sales methodologies continue to thrive in dozens of companies around the world. I speak to literally thousands of people per year.

Over the course of my career, I served as Interim VP of sales for several clients in the technology and professional services industries. These sales leadership “labs” taught me a great deal about changing and sustaining better sales behaviors.

In 2017, I co-founded Specialized Sales Systems, a company I’m very excited about. We’re disrupting the sales training industry with technology and process to create sustainable solutions. Our first book together is coming out in 2019 – stay tuned for more!

My career in sales started when I was ten years old, peddling my snow-shoveling and grass-cutting services, and it continues to this day. I hope you take a look through the Lens of Love with me.
